ONLY WATCH 2011
LAURENT FERRIER chose to support the fourth edition of Only Watch. This auction of exceptional watches, orchestrated by Antiquorum is intended to raise funds for medical research in the fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a degenerative neuromuscular disease.
LAURENT FERRIER displayed its commitment to this cause by donating a symbolic watch: the Galet Micro-Rotor in an entirely original version featuring a chocolate-coloured dial with a guilloché-worked flinqué motif, framed by a steel case. Alongside its aesthetic appeal, this model is doubly unique in that it is the prototype of the final test phases that vividly demonstrated the exceptional performances of its new winding system.
At the auction, the Galet Micro-Rotor went under the hammer at 35% more than its initial estimate – a token of confidence on the part of collectors and a sign of recognition of the work accomplished by Laurent Ferrier.
