The Galet Classic Tourbillon Double Balance Spring is equipped with an exclusive Manufacture-made movement developed, assembled and adjusted in the LAURENT FERRIER workshops. For the first time, the tourbillon device, created by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1801, is enriched with a double balance spring. The major advantage of this new construction is the fact that it maintains the centre of the balance firmly on its axis, which acts as a complement to the rotation of the tourbillon carriage. Through this mix of positions, the device counteracts the negative effects of gravity on the precision of a movement, thereby guaranteeing the extreme reliability of the regulating system. The Galet Classic is indeed chronometer-certified by the Besançon Observatory. The hand-wound movement has an 80-hour power reserve and features exceptional hand finishing, including the décor of the tourbillon carriage bridge visible from the back. The case is inspired by pebble-shaped vintage pocket watches. It comes in three gold colours: yellow, white and red. The dial is available in a choice of white grand feu enamel or black onyx versions.
